Recent days have seen some excellent fishing around Langara Island. The MV Charlotte Princess reported four salmon over 50 lbs. with a high of 57 lbs. Two guests this morning headed off to Guinea Point and with some good action on Chinook managed to boat 44 and 56 lbers on a double header. To one up them, late last week, MV Marabell guests were reported to have limited out on nice sized Chinooks before lunch! Halibut are increasing in size with an 80 lb. slab brought in last Friday. Guests at both resorts have been treated to some spectacular wildlife shows with Humpback whales and Dall's Porpoises in the area and a pod of Killer Whales right in Henslung Cove. And with sea lions around the island, guests have to be quick and make sure they don't lose their salmon to these playful creatures.
