Langara Fishing Update

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - June 25, 2008

Hey folks. A forty pounder just hit the dock an hour ago. Fishing has picked up over the last group, with Andrews Point having the most action.

The main mixed migrations are running quite late due to the huge snow pack in the mountains keeping the water temperatures at early season levels, thus confusing the fish. We are expecting the fish to show up in droves any day here and I think we will have some explosive fishing by the end of the week.

The incredible bottom fishing has been enough to keep us occupied as well as the thousands of Alaskan Pink salmon which invaded Langara Island a couple of days ago. The first Cohos of the season are also hitting the docks with 9, 6 and 11 pounders coming in today. Hopefully my next report will be on double headers of Chinooks being the norm.

Tight lines,
