Group eight rocks Langara

Langara Island Fishing Resorts - July 3, 2007

Cookie here again folks with the latest fishing news from Langara.

Group number 8 cashed in on some awesome salmon and bottom fishing led by a 45 lb. Chinook and a 55 lb. hali. Many fish over 25 lbs. are being caught with McPherson and Cohoe Points being the best producers.

Fish are scattered at all depths with the big salmon being caught mainly at 20 pulls or less. I found a new bottom fishing spot off of Lacy which is consistently producing mixed bags of hali, Lings and yellow eye. After one such trip mixed with awesome salmon fishing veteran deckhand Spruce Bruce the Loose Caboose claims it is the most fish he has ever seen in one day in 4 years of deckhanding!

Chinook highliners for the last group were 38,33,36,30,30,27,29,27,26,25,25,25,25. Cohos are showing up in great numbers for this time of year. Enough from me, get up here and find out for yourself!
